First time to visit this small corner restaurant. Was in the area and wanted to try something different. The owner and his son were very enthusiastic and delighted in explaining the menu and offering recommendations. Highlights for me were the kibe and Bacalhau, some people may find the buttery pot pie a little dry, but flavor was excellent. For dessert we went for Romeo and Juliet which is white cheese, guava and dulce de leche, very tasty! Strongly suggest you try it, as we did, tapas style so that you can try a number of different small plates. Be warned that this is quite carb heavy, so diabetics need to pace themselves.

The beef was excellent but the pork ribs was just okay. The server was very friendly but sometimes got wrapped up in conversation with customers. The restaurant was decorated with Brazilian memorabilia.

We went to Taste of Brasil for lunch today and I might have met my new best friend. Alex the owner is SUCH a sweetheart as is everyone else whom we met. They walked us through the menu and made recommendations. We had shrimp pastels and kibhe as starters. For mains we had pichana with fried yucca, a pork pot pie, and beef Parmesan. And get the fresh pressed juices! We had guava, açaí, and mango. There is also a small shop where I bought a tomahawk steak for dinner tonight and Brazilian garlic bread.

This is one of the first Brazilian traditional style restaurants, I've been to in a long time and their take on the shrimp pot pie was interesting and great. Definitely recommend planning ahead with a bigger group, and the service was good for the time of day.

Had a great (authentic) dinner at Taste of Brazil (Colorado Springs). Grilled steak with rice and beans and yuca fries (didn't think of taking pics - WHA???) was absolutely delicious! Brazilian-born owner, Alex (in photo) added some açaí-flavored cachaça to the caipirinha and it was just great. And bonus - he loves reggae music! Definitely recommend this place. The service was amazing and attentive. The flan hit the spot at the end. The steak was good, the downfall was the cut they used tends to have way to many fatty ends. All other items were very fresh and delish. Will definitely be stopping by again.
